Good news about the Batkin result, but quite depressed about the overall BNP gain and also this: did anyone see Panorama last night? It presented quite a depressing view about community relations in Bradford, especially the intolerance of young people of both "sides" (Christian and Muslim)
Dividing communities on superficial lines is very dangerous, we are individuals, people, workers (for the most part) and human beings first. It is also wrong to force people to just fit in, to integrate, if all they have to integrate with is a culture of "booze, fags and ignorance".
Its not a crime if you don't talk to your neighbours, and if the programme were to be taken literally I should be chastised for not "integrating" into the "thieving smackhead" culture that I've been "presented" with in the past. If people want ot choose something better, then that's their choice as INDIVIDUALS.
