Ownership/Control (written 5.5.2009)
I will obey..because you said so?
You will obey..because I said so?
Who owns who?
Owners always have a victim complex
Slaves always have a messiah complex
So.........who owns who?
Do we own our pain or does it own us?
What of the Master's alienation and their sense of victimhood?
It owns them, even if they are the one's in control
One may have ownership of their emotions
But this is meaningless if there is no control of one's emotions
Do the Workers have control of the State?
A Worker's State is meaningless if only the State has any control
Do gangsters own their rap, or is it a form of cultural slavery
For all our honky pleasure?
Does a criminal have control over his circumstances?
Or is he instead owned by his compulsons?
'Right' to own a council flat
But those freely housed neither control
Nor own
There is only temporary possession
Like a thief in the night
A phantom or an illegal immigrant
A revenant maybe
Or a form of possession of body
Habeus corpus
If there is no control
There is no working-class
Only government or banking scum
Only possessor or mortgaged scum
Only lumpen scrounger scum
Only prisoner scum
Only the dead occupying their graves
In the invaded ground
At least a prisoner can control what happens
Within four walls, for at least some of the time
Thoughts are your own
Until you get taken in by the propaganda
If there is no control and there is only the owned
And the unowned
Then...
What is a student studying?
What of depression, anxiety and mood swings
What if you are hanging from a tree...
Are you still gonna say that there is no control?
Or the prisoner in chains?
Or on Death Row?
Or on a section or in a padded cell?
Can one be both Propetarian and Objectivist?
How many Communists deny workers their rights?
How many liberals use freedom of speech to provide a platform for oppression?
Libertarians only like immigrants who came by boat
Can anyone have
Or provide
A vision of society
That does not confuse
Their collectivism with their individualism
Or simply denies the existence of
The Individual
Or Society?
