My opinions on....
..................alien big cats

Or "ABCs" such as the Beast of Bodwin and the dozens if not
hundreds of yearly sightings of 'melanistic panthers' or some
such creatures apparently unknown to science.

IS that if they are all descended from such animals that were
released from private captivity in the 1970's, after legislation
on the keeping of large animals was passed, then surely if they
are responsible for ABC sightings then there must logically be
a breeding population. However if there is such a breeding
population then there has been no evidence of such and there
would very likely been attacks on Humans by protective mothers
if they existed. Which does leave two options: if a breeding
population of ABCs exists then the British government or Police
would have covered this up or covertly exterminated such a
population.

With the apparent elusiveness of ABCs my personal opinion
is that they exist in several alternate British Isles and,
more to the point, evolved in an alternate ecosystem. This
may seem indeed far-fetched, and moreover implies that ABCs
are capable of 'sliding' to alternate British Isles on a
regular basis, but the only alternative is that successive
administrations from Conservative to Labour and now Lib-Con
have continued to cover-up evidence for ABCs (e.g. corpses,
droppings, footprints) with 100% efficiency and continue
to do so without any leaks or whistle blowers or that
either probably the Police or Army with or without the
knowledge of current or previous governments and large
landowners have invested a great deal of manpower, money
and possibly intimidation to keep the Big Cat secret
and I find it hard to believe any governmental organisation
would be able to do so.

Consciousness seems both a part of and yet separate from the living
body. Certainly there is no part of the human brain that is
particularly responsible for consciousness and consciousness
exists in animals, and possibly plants, without the need of
a central nervous system such as jellyfish.

Yes the body can die although life may continue at the cellular
level but consciousness could work at a quantum level as opposed to
a level based on classical physics, such as where according
to classical theory there should be no energy present there
is always a minimum specific energy level. It is possible that
consciousness exists on several levels and that "bodydeath" is
simply at the lowest state as far as the consciousness is
concerned. What this experience is like I cannot conjecture,
but is similar to the Islamic view of the body before resurrection
and that stated by Alan Moore in various of his works.
