Idolatry is worse than carnage.

In protest at those wishing to deify former Baroness Thatcher this Wednesday I give this message: Idolatry is worse than carnage.

A Copy of my Complaint to the BBC over the incessant Thatcher Death Coverage

With regards to the recent news coverage about the death of former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher, I feel very strongly that I must complain about what amounts to blanket coverage about someone who, although important, has been out of the public eye for some time.

I disagree with the decision of BBC news to focus entirely on one story to the detriment of broadcasting information on any other world event which was happening at the time or is still happening. I disagree with the apparent pretence that no other event is important enough to even mention. I also disagree with the sudden change in broadcasting schedule to include a ninety minute sycophancy, when a more appropriate time would have been after the funeral. Some viewers, like myself, can be offensively bored by constant rumination upon a single subject.

She's dead, we all know who she was, she was in league with killers like Reagan and Pinochet, good riddance, now let's get over it.
